Chaitra Shukla Paksha Ekadashi, commonly known as Kamada Ekadashi, occurs after Chaitra Navratri and Rama Navami. This festival typically falls in March or April on the Gregorian calendar. In Hinduism, Kamada Ekadashi is dedicated to the worship of Lord Krishna, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It is celebrated on the 11th day of the waxing moon in the month of Chaitra. Kamada Ekadashi holds significant importance in Hinduism as it is the first Ekadashi that follows the Hindu New Year, or Hindu Nav Varsh.

  • Wake up early in the morning before sunrise. 
  • Take a holy bath and prepare the puja samagri for the rituals. 
  • Perform Mangal Arotika while rotating a puja thali. Clean the place of worship and decorate it with fresh flowers, incense sticks, and diyas. 
  • Recite the Kamada Ekadashi Vrat Katha and worship Lord Hari. Chant Hari Mantras while meditating and connecting with the divine. 
  • You may also observe Maun Vrat (silence). Perform the pooja with devotion to seek blessings.
