Varuthini Ekadashi is a day when people ask for forgiveness for their past mistakes and seek blessings from Lord Vishnu. It is important for spiritual growth. The story of King Mandhata, who faced problems but found success by fasting on this day, shows its strength. People celebrate by fasting, chanting Lord Vishnu's name, reading holy books, honoring sacred trees, cows, and priests, and doing good deeds to receive blessings.

Varuthini Ekadashi will be observed on Thursday, April 24, 2025.

Ekadashi starts at 4:43 PM on April 23, 2025, and ends at 2:32 PM on April 24, 2025.

On April 25, the time for breaking the fast (called Parana) will be from 5:34 AM to 8:07 AM. The Dwadashi period will end on the same day at 11:44 AM.

Parana is when you end the Ekadashi fast after sunrise the next day. It's very important to do this during the Dwadashi period, which must be before sunrise. Not following the Dwadashi rules is considered wrong.
